What proof of delivery means
Digital proof of delivery is a record supporting an order’s receipt: it may include status, date, time and evidence according to the agreed service. FedEx allows users to obtain proof through tracking. The format depends on the provider and situation; not every delivery needs identical evidence. Agree with your customer what must be established instead of treating a photo as the automatic answer to every complaint.

A record that can be reconstructed
We suggest a record containing the order identifier, recorded event, time, responsible person and linked evidence. For an exception, add its reason and the action taken. The record must point to the right order: a valid image attached to the wrong shipment is still a problem. Also check how the history is preserved when a later correction is necessary.
Take photographs with a purpose
An image should help explain the delivery rather than collect unnecessary data. Check that the parcel and agreed context are clear, avoid blurry photographs and do not routinely photograph identity documents. Set access and retention according to applicable policies. Explain to the team what it is authorized to record; a specific instruction works better than asking for “a photo of everything.”
What happens without a connection
